THE ESTATE

A typical real village of Trullos is “hidden” in the Valley of Itria and its smooth hills near the Adriatic sea, in the luxuriant green Selva di Fasano, among cherry, olive, pine and oak trees, not so distant from the populated city of Bari.
The buildings of thousands of years ago, typical of the landscape in Apulia, still exist here in the middle of Tenuta Monacelle that extends on almost 20 hectares of land.
In this place you can feel that is “timeless” and fantasy and magic live together in a “fairy tale reality”.

Originally a convent dating to the late 1700’s, the complex consists of a cluster of 30 cone-roofed trulloes.

Not so far from the Trullos ,others buildings, the Masserias, are built.

In the summer evenings we suggest unforgettable dinners with piano bar either in the breathtaking terrace overlooking the cherry garden or by the swimming pool.

Tenuta Monacelle could be your ideal rural retreat from which to explore some of Apulia’s best known attractions all within a half hour’s drive. Amongst them the town of Alberobello the world’s trulli capital, the wine growing area surrounding the town of Locorotondo, Martina Franca with wonderful baroque architecture, Ostuni the white city, the coastal strip by the Adriatic and the grottoes of Castellana.
